This app provides access to four documentary films, of varying lengths, concerning the 1916 British Parliamentary report on the Armenian Genocide, popularly known as the Blue Book. (Internet connection is necessary for viewing videos)

These four documentary films were commissioned in 2005, when Ara Sarafian began a campaign opposing the efforts of Turkish parliamentarians to coerce British parliamentarians to rescind their own report, The Treatment of Armenians in The Ottoman Empire, 1915-16,  and formally apologise to the Turkish Government.

The first of these documentaries is, The Blue Book: Origin,  a five minute film with samples of original documents from the Toynbee Papers at the UK National Archives. This brief narrative tells how the Blue Book came to be published in 1916.

Second is, The Blue Book: Retrospective (17 min). Ara Sarafian, in a series of lectures, discusses the significants of the Blue Book historically, as well as its relevance to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

Third, The Blue Book: Political Truth or Historical Fact. (54 min). This observational documentary traces the work of Ara Sarafian, an archival historian. His opposition to Armenian Genocide denial takes him to Turkey, where he addresses Turkish historians and diplomats at an academic conference in Istanbul University. He becomes the focus of the conference and receives much attention from the Turkish press and television.

Fourth, The Blue Book: Turkish Translation. (15 min). In 2009 Ara Sarafian translated the Blue Book into Turkish for distribution to the members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
